The Germans left Akureyri in the early morning and spend another day in Reykjavik to visit for example the Blue Lagoon. Meanwhile the Icelandic participants had to tidy up.

Today was our big day for which we worked so long! The open day in Glerárskóla! In the afternoon we made an evaluation but very unstressed to relax from the big pressure that was fallen from our shoulders now. We used our last evening together to have a littele Fare-Well-Party in Kjarnaskógar.

Tomorrow is our open day in Glerárskóla that`s why we spend most of the time today in our workshops trying to get ready. One highlight of the day was maybe that we went out for dinner: to Greifinn a popular restaurant in Akureyri.

This day was family day. Because after some work at our workshops and doing compass exercises we spend the afternoon and evening in our (gues-)families.

Today we visited the church service in Lögmannshliðkirkju where the exchange group was introduced to the audience and the Germans sang a song in German. The great final of the day was the German evening where the Icelanders invited their families and friends to.

This day was full of action. After beginning our workshops we hit on the road to visit Mývatn and go fishing on Húni II - the biggest wooden boat in Iceland. In the evening we watched altogether the Eurovision Song Contest. The Germans are not as much into Eurovision as the Icelanders, that`s why they were not very interested in the beginning. But their moods changed during the presentation of the points…

Today we went altogether to Akureyri to meet the rest of the Icelandic people. There we did some compass exercises to warm up with the topic and in the evening the German guys made their first visit of an Icelandic outdoor swimming pool. Lesa áfram

Before the German group came to the North to meet the Icelandic people they made a Golden-Circle-trip. Alexandra and Tamara tell us about this first sightseeing tour in Iceland.

The exchange started officially at the 27th May when the German and Icelandic participants met each other.
But before the Germans came to Akureyri they stayed two days in Reykjavik to make some sightseeing. Patrick tells us about the arrival of the German group in Iceland.
